US First Robotics was holding a contest to see who could design and build the most efficient robot to complete a sophisticated game. Teams from all around the country took part in this game, so the tension was running high as soon as the countdown of the six weeks had begun. FIRST gave everyone a game layout, game instructions and a default set of parts to build our robot. From that and whatever the people scrounge up, their robot came from. *Team 905 is getting ready for the new year already. Fundraising has started and talk about the new bot have already begun. There are new names for our team and robot this year.
*Would you like to Sponsor Platt Tech Robotics? Email Ed and he will give you information of the benefits of sponsoring us. (you can get anything from a mentioning in the newsletter and web site, to your name on the bot and a plaque saying what you have done for us.)
*New officers were voted in, you can view them in the club roster.
*There is a Computer Fair this Saturday. Sign up with Mrs. Patterson in the Media Center if you can work.
*Shick is sponsoring us this year.
